I don't know what you expect to be honest. Have you ever watched a West African player before? The normal style is to play pass and go and use physical attributes to beat your opponent. At the moment he's finding it difficult to do anything because physically he can't match up to Premier League players. Maybe with time he'll get to the level required to do something, maybe he won't, but he was never going to come in and be a skilful little creative genius.

BUt surely for £13.5m there's a lot of better options than an unproven striker who's goalscoring record in Russia is hardly outstanding?

At £13.5m that should be pretty damn close to either a solid first team player or REALLY solid bench player. You hear all the time about 'there are mistakes in the transfer market', but we don't have the leeway to be taking a gamble on a player with a fee of that magnitude.

The Ukrainian league is better than the Russian league imo. Kiev and Shakhtar would walk all over any Russian team bar perhaps Zenit.

That's true, but apart from Shakhtar and Kiev Ukrainian League is on SPL level, maybe even weaker. Average Russian team is a lot better than it's Ukrainian counterpart.

Same match as everyone else. He's been playing the same role all season , today he was very poor .
Absolute beast on his day but Blind having him in his pocket says a lot.
