I just simply couldnt believe that he could be THAT bad. I mean he scored goals in Russia which I know is tin pot but at the same time he was a professional footballer that we have paid £13m for.

Has to be one of the worst signings ever. Like not just for us but ever in the history of football ever.
Unfathomable really. 13.5m plus 50k a week since January = so far we've spent over 15m on him. Still has 7.5m of wages over three years left, and it seems we can't even give him away, haha.

What's so truly shocking is El Bob seemingly found gold with Funes Mori when he plucked him out of oblivion at that price. Then he turns around with his very next signing and we get this absolute swill? makes it seem like he was just throwing darts.
To be fair Mori was playing for the Argentinian National side and winning league titles and the equivalent of their champions league in South America for River Plate so although he was obscure to us simple fans, people in the industry knew all about him.

He is, without question, the worst player I have ever seen in the Premier League.

Don't buy in to this 'we haven't seen enough of him' rubbish. I have seen more than enough to recognise how poison he is.

He will go down as an obscure pub trivia answer in years to come as 'what was the name of the striker Martinez spent 13.5m on that didn't score a single goal in his handful of appearances for the club?'

Sure, but he wasn't a first choice on their back line when we signed him. Plus, wouldn't you agree his value has taken off since we signed him - he's at least a 15mm player now, if not higher

The thing is, if this fella genuinely doesn't want to play football and just rack up millions of pounds... he can. And lots of people would do that. With three years left on his contract he's got another 7.5m or so coming to him, and nothing can stop him refusing to leave. I am sure Koeman doesn't want him anywhere near the first team squad in training, and likely out of the way altogether, so if Niasse really wants to he will be able to not train, pick up 50k a week and have no responsibilities toward the club at all. Shocking.

Worked for Winston Bogarde at Chelsea years ago

Poor Oumar got a mauling from RK today. Seems we aren't the only ones he's flopped at.

'But that's better than the reputation he enjoys in Norway, where he couldn't even get a game for SK Brann's second string in the third-tier.'
'I saw nothing in him. He seemed limp and half-interested,' Pamer added.
'Never in the world would I have thought three-and-a-half years later he would arrive at Goodison Park as one of the club's most expensive player ever. Never! But I was wrong, and Brann was wrong.'

No you were not sir.

One of Martinez signings based on watching YouTube with a glass of red

Midi had scored the winning goal in the south American equivalent if the CL final, won the league and was a cuureent argie international starter mate, hardly oblivion like.
