Oumar Niasse

Gibson 40k
McGeady 30k (Preston won't be paying much for him)
Niasse 50k
Kone 40k
Cleverley 40k
=
200k a week for players who will play probably a total of 1000 minutes the whole season.

Must really be loaded if we can afford to just throw 10m down the drain.

Add Niasse's 13.5m to that, the 1.5m he's already earned with us. The club must have more money than sense, yet still can't complete any sensible transfers when we really need them.

Which club would you say does this much better?

Exactly, no club is optimized the way that NSNO is talking about. Btw this thread has more pages than Niasse has minutes played. I have seen every second of his game time and still don't know why everyonr hates him so much. Quite liked him in his second game where he got a full run out.

4,000 a week towards McGeady is what I've read

I think we'd call that the Reverse Jelavic.

"Oumar Niasse arrived at Goodison and failed to make any immediate impact as Everton floundered to another 11th place finish. Expectations were toilet as the summer transfer window closed and Niasse remained with Everton. Hearts slowly changed as the player who may or may not have won some sort of refrigerator certificate for player of the year in Russia stepped up after Romelu Lukaku's cricket bat shins broke in September. The Awkward Assassin, as he came to be known, scored 4 against Chelsea, 3 against Arsenal, and a record 7 goals against Liverpool before being sold to PSG for 92 million in January 2016."

Well he does smack his bird about and ends up in the cells every now and then. Not like he does nothing. Puts more effort into doing that than he does on the pitch.
Hibbo was on 30 k then slated us after hardly kicking a ball for three seasons even with a testermonial game too he was a good servant, but I did not like the way he turned on us Osman showed us respect!

Says it all that we couldn't even give him away.

I'd have Martinez investigated for fraud. I bet he made on that transfer similar to Harry Redknapp's dealings over the years with mysterious African players plying their trade in Portsmouth.

Just looked, there's an echo article from 9th June about Gibson's contract, whilst Wikipedia says Koeman was confirmed on 14th June. Doubt he had any involvement in it.

He played him a fair bit in pre season though.

I hope he can get him fit (ha!) and he gets some game time. Regardless of anything else he is actually a useful player.
