The only thing I can think of which might give us some hope is that Fellaini looked just as hapless in his first few games for Man U under Moyes. The squad were unsettled as Moyes couldn't get a grip on things. He eventually settled and even blossomed a bit under Van Gaal.

Same might happen to Niasse...assuming he's capable of playing in the Prem at all.
