Naismith was nicknamed the 'Albino Messi' and no one bats an eyelid but mention a black persons skin tone no matter how inoffensive the post and there they are, pouncing like a leopard from the bush on an unsuspecting Wilder Beast. I wonder how they get through life being so easily offended often on others behalf, it must be tough for them.

I suspect absolutely no-one was offended in the slightest, but they were just putting it on to make @bol-uk sweat a bit.

This. I think there is a sense of self-righteousness when discussing anything that involves skin color, and it more often than not tends to be the white people that freak out about it. Having said that, he had to see those reactions coming lol

It's a bit different mate. People with slightly whiter skin than average haven't been subjected to the same prejudices that black people have. Whether it was intended to be racist or not, it could be interpreted that way.

How?! It had nothing to do with prejudice, it was a simple statement that, in the wide range of skin tones humans have, Niasse has a particularly dark skin tone.

It's exactly the same as saying 'that Peter Crouch - he's tall isn't he?!'

If tall people were enslaved for centuries because of their height then perhaps it would be similar.
There is a sensitivity about racism and rightly so.
