Our decent playing performances came after he was injured. We were then forced to abandon the route one stuff and he allowed these players to get on the ball and play it like they were trained to do.

Which is what I've been saying for months, hard to not be our most productive player when everything revolves around you. Using him as a funnel blatantly didn't work and the results directly after the injury just highlights it.

We will see when he gets back, and is still as unconvincing as he has been his entire career. If he wasn't bang average nobody would be having this debate.

Anyways this is a Niasse thread - hope Hull still take him off our hands, anything over £6m and I'll be happy.

Ok.

Bolasie, Williams, DCL

Vs

McGeady, Kone, Niasse

The answer is a no brainer.

Not much in it. The first three cost about £38 mil the second three cost about £20 mil.

*shrugs

Jury very much out for me. Will Bolasie be the same when he makes it back? Is DCL a premier league talent? How long will Williams last?

The old £20m was like the new £40m nowadays. Those three RM signings are proven failure and a waste of money.

In contrast, Williams, a solid CB worthed the money. He improved our defence although he is a good stop gap who will last another 2 years possibly. Bolasie and DCL are too early to say but Bolasie was the main creative force in the 13 games he played right before the injury.

Usually agree with you but Bolasie was decent in the games he had with us. We were in a poor run during his games but him and Guye were our best players.

Niasse has hopefully done enough to drum up some interest and I wish him well.
Williams on the other hand has been a big disappointment for me. Hasn't been the leader/colosis I hoped he would be, not even close.
