He was written off early because he's horrible. Aye he can run (sometimes), but he can't pass, can't hold the ball up, can't shoot consistently (refer to that training video of him, as well as actual Hull games where his shots were closer to shooting down airplanes than to scoring a goal).

Also he played for a PL team is such a non-argument... and Eric Djemba-Djemba played for a PL winning team, won the FA cup and the community shield - so is he a football god?

He is a pretty average footballer (as was Djemba-Djemba).

Fact is he has shown he can score goals in the top flight. Its a valuable commodity that people will be willing to take on. He obviously is not good enough for what we are aiming for but that doesn't mean he cant be a top flight footballer as he has already shown that he can be.

Hull fans seem to rate him somewhat and they have seen more of him than we have so I will go with what they think.

Is niasse essentially the same level as Valencia? If niasse wasn't binned out the club and just played for hull all along, would the two be quite comparable for both striker ability and goalscoring record?

The other is an international striker who has scored goals in the Europa League and the Premier League and commanded a 13M fee.
