We've already been linked with a lot of players, but not yet seen any strong links from The Board/Koeman/Walsh until recent poor pre-season results. I assume from the article above that our club seems to be panicked and want to speed up any transfer which is transfer in/outgoing players.

Who do you reckon will be our first transfer on this busy week?

Are we going to let first go players such as Stones and Lukaku or getting rid of players such as Niasse then buying players?

Who do you think our first signing on the transfer market? And for what price?

When do you think the club will announce in/outgoing players for next "busy week"? Monday? Friday?

Post your opinion here.

He didn´t say "we are signing several players next week" did he? Erwin said his brother and the chairman would very busy trying to sign players next week. Don´t really see why that is different from any other week during the window.

I was thinking exactly the same when reading the article. The headline is skewed so fans now expect a very busy week but that's not what he said.

He's been asked about transfers and he's replied, "Ronald and the chairman are very busy with that.” That doesn't infer we will sign people.

Nor do it mention specifically this week, just that they are busy trying to sign people which I'd hope they were anyway.

The Echo has effectively thrown Erwin down into a snake pit of expectant Evertonians. The torches and pitchforks will be out on Friday.

So after 20+ post, i only see Stones that will be "out" for the next week.

Reckon, i will start by saying that next week we will conclude the signing of Ashley Williams by Friday and no outgoing player.

Suppose after we had the worst ever home record from last season because of poor defending and tactics, pretty much i assume we will strengthen at the back first.

We had such a good opportunity to bring home the dresden cup. I am in full panic mode now. Who knows when we will get a sniff at this trophy again??

We won't bring anybody in next week either.

Except possibly that chump from the Villa midfield that got about 15 points last season.

Other than that, nothing will happen.

He gazes into the future and with eyes to the sky he utters the word. 'Dunno'

Selling stones shouldn't be the signal to commence our spending. He should only be allowed to leave if we already have a replacement in.

I don't think it works like that - as we need to balance the FFP books, if we went out and spent big and the Stones deal fell through then we're in trouble. I agree with the idea of the Stones deal being the trigger. I also think the arrivals will begin this week ;)
