My point was that Lampard is a bad manager and Eddie Howe is a really good manager. You're gone as far as too actually state that Lampard is a terrible manager now, but you're still undermining Howe's achievements at Newcastle.

He also took a club no bigger than Tranmere up four divisions and turned them into a regular top flight team. Takes some doing that.

I’m not undermining Howe, he’s doing well with a very good squad.
He did well with a poor Bournemouth squad too for years but ultimately got relegated with a squad not much worse than ours.
My point is, I wouldn’t say with certainty he’d keep us up with this appalling mismatched squad we have right now.

Howe's been linked with Everton job since Roberto Martinez was sacked, and practically every other sacking after that. It wasn't just when Lampard arrived. And I beg to differ. Evertons squad was better when Lampard took over than Bournemouth last stint. This squad of players have hugely underachieved.

I’d take Howe over Koeman all day and to be honest most evertonians were ambivalent about Koeman anyway

I’m not sure Howe is good at spending money going off some of his signings like Ibe and Solanki at Bournemouth though so again the biggest problem would’ve been Walsh signing crap that didn’t match with Howe signing other crap

Howe did his best work on a shoestring like Moyes did and now again at Newcastle where he’s got an excellent squad

I don't think that this squad has underachieved. It's a terrible squad. We have loads of centrehalves and none of them are top half quality. No decent fullback's or wingers barring McNeil. One striker who's always injured and has only really had one good goalscoring season anyway. And the centre of midfield is an old guy who can't pass the ball, one who runs a lot but can't kick the ball and one with potential that we haven't seen do anything. It's where it deserves to be.
