I am going against the thread title here but I am currently in Argentina and I have to say that La Bombonera does remind me of Goodison on the outside...

I am going against the thread title here but I am currently in Argentina and I have to say that La Bombonera does remind me of Goodison on the outside...

It's a mad stadium.
3 sided horse-shoe with a corporate stand on the 4th side. Standing on the top tier which was approx 45°. Felt the whole place shake when they all bounced in unison. Great experience.
 

Great photo. Get some idea of the size of the old Goodison Rd Enclosure. A monster terrace holding over 21,000 on its own.
The KOP held 23000 in there on Derby day it was being packed in like a sardine :D a horrible end to be in yet 5000 blues like me got tickets in there as the Anfield Road end tickets were like gold ....
That Goodison road terrace City fans were the only away supporters to gather there not the park end like other away fans back then ... a tremendous ground standing Goodison Park ....
