If we sacked Dyche now with the ownership situation as it is and the investigation outcome about to be announced, the candidates would be Rooney, Dean Smith etc.

If 777 complete the takeover and the investigation outcome isn’t too bad, we might be more attractive.

Lopetegui. Available and wants premier league
Yeah good shout, even if it's just a temporary contract til end season, as I know Transfer funds was the big issue between him and wolves.

Reckon he could get a tune out the team and nothing would be set in stone.

Would suit us both given our club situation...

Personally I think we should appoint Julen Lopetegui all day.
Made Wolves a much better side and tactically very astute.
I think he would do well at us.

A couple mentioning Carsley, he wouldn’t be my choice but would take him over Dyche.

Managing young hungry English footballers looking to make a name for themselves
who haven’t really made it yet is different from managing seasoned pros who down tools when things don’t go their way.

Potter - Most likely option given our track record, would be bad for us and possibly involve a drawn-out saga. Likely to ask for assurances we cannot provide and the bloke just got ~25m in payout for his last job.

Carsley - Would be great as an Interim Assistant Coach in addition to his England role, and would be good for his credentials as a full-time club manager. Has experience working with 'lower training hours' and would inform Dyche that the last two years' performance argument would not fly. Depends then on whether they have anything to lose.

Schumacher - Evertoninan who can tic-tac-toe and dip his toes in tactics, would arguably never blame the last couple of years and GP for everyday performances. Needs more experience in top-flight football or needs our patience. Seems progressive despite having a structured approach to football.

Gallardo - The original that Dyche's soundbites are modeled after, and tremendous tactician. Will choose the next step 'wisely'.

Rydstrum - New Wave manager topping the Swedish leagues with tactics in a similar vein to Arteta. Would need time, space, and resources at Everton. Football is very attractive to watch and will likely be between him and Diniz for Brighton Coach.

Ancelloti - Jr. already has experience with Everton in an Assistant role, but would need backing in terms of time and money (suspect). Sr.'s progressive tactics at Napoli and Real can at least partially be attributed to Jr's capabilities. However, we do not know our current relationship with the lotties... But would definitely blame the last two years.

can't see dyche getting the sack until the ownership gets sorted, but if things continue to spiral out of control i'd imagine an interim manager will be hired.

which manager currently available has a history of being brought in to save a club from relegation....? *shudders*

Any manger we look at needs to be out of work. No chance we can afford paying a manger out of his club contract. As well as paying Dyche off.

The only problem with Potter is that he needs a lot of time to get his style and ideas across. It took a while before Brighton really became good under him, and he didn’t get enough time to improve Chelsea.

If the fans were willing to give him the time then he’d be a decent option. He is capable enough and his real talent seems to be improving players, which we could definitely do with.
