The problem is now we have a manager who literally solely relies on it as his way of scoring.

If my mantra was to play football like elephant seals have relations then I’d probably look to set pieces for goals tooThe problem is now we have a manager who literally solely relies on it as his way of scoring.
Absolutely. If the low-energy, low-effort TV pundits are picking up on it then maybe it's time for a change. And a few programmes like motd highlighted it. Dyches masterplan from the weeks training ground exposed by a couple of pundits lol

Asking Everton to complete a short corner is like asking somebody on Geordie Shore to explain string theory and that’s regardless of the manager. Just lob it into the box ffsJust had a flashback of those pathetic attempts at short corners on Saturday, Myko and someone else?
We were among the best. The worry for me is that those figures are mainly from last season. My perception is that we've stopped scoring from set pieces, and given that was the only reason we stayed up last season that is worrying.
We have stopped scoring because we have one tactic which is too chuck it towards Tarkowski at the back post so he can head it back across, its like something straight of a park on a Sunday league game, it was only a matter a time before other clubs did a defensive rejig and put the blockers on it. The reason most clubs have dedicated set piece coaches is so that they can have 5/6 variations from both attacking and defensive positions to choose from. It's more threat, It's more options, It's less predicable. When asked previously about this Dyche thinks he has it under control. I have never seen how you can have a 3 man coaching team at this level of the game (Dyche and the Right Said Fred brothers) Most managers at this level have 5 or 6 guys with them.We were among the best. Dies anyone have the set piece stats from the 12 games this season?
It's an older table and we're not 2nd anymore, also Arsenal scored over double our goals. We sit at about 40 to 50% of our goals total being from set pieces.
And every corner they had they took short and always had a 3 on 2 - allowing them to cross with more threat - being closer with a better angle.Just had a flashback of those pathetic attempts at short corners on Saturday, Myko and someone else?
