But not the criticism of Sunday’s team selection and tactics not to mention the substitutions which all need explaining.
His team selection was dictated by injuries and suspensions.

What do you suggest? Play Besic and the like?

There’s a reason he’s won everything and we’re posting on a forum.

Which makes the Ancelotti criticism even more daft.

Hmm.

He should be criticised for the other day because his tactics and decisions were crap.

But, the players he has at his disposal after the first XI aren't good enough and clearly that was reflected in the starting XI.

We made a poor decision late in the window to not bring another forward in to cover us across the front line and are paying for it.

Watched the Leicester game last night. Their players are far better than ours and look like challengers for top 4 again. Our poor quality squad will see us around mid table at best.

For me our league position will be determined by our key players' availability throughout the season. The more games James, Rich, Allan, Digne, DCL are involved in the more chance we have of a european place.

Well not many would have started Gomes and Sigurdsson in the same team and started the game in such a feeble fashion, left DCL on his own fighting a losing battle, took Doucoure off and left Sigurdsson on, and only when we went 2-0 down did we have a real go back at Newcastle and proved how vulnerable and poor they were, much poorer than we were. I also think we are talking about what Ancelotti is doing here not what he has won before. I think Carlo can turn us round and will, but he is not infallible and if he makes mistakes it is okay to point them out that’s what the forum is for surely?

Strongest XI v Strongest XI, there's not much in it.

They have a better squad, though.

We have an imbalanced squad. Too many players all wanting to do the same thing.

Leicester have bags of pace on the counter attack. Southampton are a high tempo, energetic team. Even Leeds press high and pen teams in.

We have been far too slow and ponderous for years. All too often relying on a bit of individual class.

Thing is, those teams all build attacks too, though.

Literally only one time in the league from open play even this season can I remember us being camped for a sustained period on the edge of an opponent's box, and that was the game against West Brom when we were 3-2 up.

We never build moves like that, it's so frustrating

Leicester (who i agree are a really good team), have also had poor performances, down to injurys similar to us! They got battered by 3-0 at home by West Ham, and got beat 1-0 at home to Aston Villa. Similar to Wolves who are also a very good team got tonked by West Ham!

These results will happen, its how we pick ourselves up and play ourselves back into form, exactly like these 2 have
