I watched quite a lot of Angell at Cheltenham Town. At that level he was quite a decent player, I was so disappointed he didn't make the grade for us. But look , he got to play for the royal blue jersey at Goodison Park. How bad !.
I thought Niasse was fairly poor as strikers go.

In no particular order of crappiness

Rod Belfitt - a poor player, Catterick's action in swopping Dave Johnson for him showed he'd lost his grip.
Stuart Barlow -He tried, but with very little success
Salomon Rondon - bought simply so that Benitez could have a friend in the dressing room
Cenk Tosun - he did at least score a few goals for us
Shani Tarashaj a complete waste of £4M who never played a second for us.
Sandro Ramirez - dire
Oumer Niasse -comically bad at times, but he did have a couple of good games
Arouna Kone - Had one good game in his time here; incredible to think that when he signed he was in our top 10 most expensive buys.
Mageye Gueye - not a striker, really (was he even a footballer?)
Apostolos Vellois - again, he did score a couple
Denis Straqualari - Painfully limited, but I will say I've never seen any player try harder than Straq.
Royston Drenthe - not an out and out striker.
Mickael Madar - a bit unfair to include him; he did score some vital goals for us
John Spencer - oh dear
Brett Angell - how did this man ever get to play for us?
Warren Aspinall - a reserve who hardly played
Michael Branch had potential but was badly handled
Stuart Rimmer - again, a reserve who barely appeared
Bernie Wright - simply awful.
