Davy Klaassen and it's not even close for me.

To be fair to Davy, he got himself shut of Everton as soon as he realized he wasn't wanted. And if memory serves, we got about 12m for him only a year after he joined.

In terms of transfer fee, wages spent, and relative return on investment, Bolasie, Tosun, Niasse, and Sandro have been the bigger crimes. Bolasie at least got a terrible injury which the lad can't be held responsible for.
