Owen Coyle to Bolton...

Tbh, I think Bolton is definately a step up. Have been a proven PL clubs for years now and the organisation throughout the club is probably far ahead of Burnley's. That can all change of course, if Bolton get relegated and Burnley survive. Do think Bolton will survive in the end though, not so sure about Burnley.

Dirty Dirty Owen Coyle.

He's a very good motivator than a tactitian but why on earth bolton?

Alan Curbishley would be best for Burnley(y),tough luck for the burnley lads. That may cost them their place in the league:(

He has all the motivational skills of a dead flounder Faddy(n)

Bolton have won the FA Cup 4 times.
Burnley have only won it once, however; they have won the league twice.
They're also neighbours, but there musn't be any too much animosity between the two clubs if Coyle is going to make the crossing.

The rivalry in that part of the world is strictly between Blackburn and Burnley, they hate each other with a venom

speaking of Burnley, it was brought to my attention of some strange goings on up there by supporters.

Check out "Burnley Mad", the unofficial site for Claret fans, and as true as I am sitting here, a new thread has been started like every minute for the past few hours.:blink:

That;s right, every minute that goes by, no matter where you are in the world right now, a new Burnley thread comes up, I don't think I've seen anything like this before, the closest I've seen to this was on a rival Everton site during the 6-1 capitulation to Arsenal back in the autumn.

I can appreciate it might be a slight boring in that part of the world, but someone needs to a put a cull on those damn threads, probably been another twenty added while I've been doing this.

See for yourselves.

never seen anything quite like it really.

Proper step down to me, from a sleeping giant to a small club that can't come close to filling its stadium.

Never know what the truth is behind the scenes, Nugent is still on loan isn't he? Are pompey asking largish money? Has Coyle been told 'no way'? If they stay up maybe he doesn't fancy a Hull type struggle next season. All those shock home wins from the early season have dried up and they are still no better on the road. Getting out while the going is still good and taking a shot at an established prem side with better players than Burnley have.

I'd be well cheesed off if I were a Burnley fan.

I mean, the team should be planning its assault into the second half of the season to stay in the league....now its up in the air and a new manager is needed with his own ways and style of play...

Could backfire big time.

Does Coyle have the experience to cut it in the Prem though?
There are a few options out there with Premiership experience.
Alternatively, imagine if they got hold of Sven for example. That would be a huge investment.
