If Lescott does leave us for Man City, he wont be signing for City for the football, it will be all about the money. Despite all the money City have, we will still finish higher than them this coming season. Lescott wont be taking a step forward, at best he will be taking a sideways step.

Difference is Lescott would have another contract in him...Owen wouldn't.

I'm not quite sure where you going with this Owen being a money grabber?

You cant say that for certain mate, Lescott could easily have a mare next year and he will find City arent as forgiving as Everton and end up on the scrap heap there are disadvantages to signing for clubs with a lot of money.

Owen will play to his mid thirties, i think that pretty clear.

No idea where your going with it, i just said he wasnt.

One bad injury will be him.

Speaking hypotheticly mate, some have said they wouldnt blame Lescott for leaving doubleing his money, but yet slate Owen for being money grabbing.

Just challenging that rationaile!

I know hes not going hes said! FACT!

More to the point, Moyes has said he (nor anyone else) is not going. Let's see if Davie is as good as his word.

If we where so confident of not losing anyone, we wouldn't have our players giving interviews over players leaving.

When did we ever do that?

Last summer. I recall Cahill and others commenting on the Johnson transfer speculation.

This is a finely honed operation the club have going. It takes years to perfect.

Do you think he could be persueded to change his opinion mate!

Do you not think it would be prudent to maybe view his comments in a moment in time and know that in football its always hard to take things a definites?

Well, I dont see what changes, tbh in 3 weeks. He knew then (and in fact stated then) that other clubs covet his players, but that they wont be sold.

That's pretty much definitive for me. No room for wriggle room.

If City make a bid and offer him the reported £80,000 a week, he will be gone. An extra £40,000 a week will be to tempting for Lescott to refuse.

The point is though, mate, that it's immaterial what is offered if the club dont want to sell - as Moyes has stated. End of story.

Moyes also said he would leave it up to Jolean if a bid came in for him. (obviously a realistic bid).
