Couldn't see anything so thought I'd start it up!

Anyone with kids able to offer words of comfort to ease the pain of a 5 year old girl that seems to have epic tantrums daily lately? Is this normal or should we be worried?!
You hear a lot more about the “terrible twos”, but tantrums are also a normal (but painful) part of development in that 5-7 year old range.
I have five kids ranging from 2 to 14 and we have experienced this in varying degrees of intensity. In my experience which is purely anecdotal, it was definitely worse with my daughters rather than my sons.

I've got 2 kids (son 6 daughter 3). Son does that thing where he hits himself and says stuff like "I'm the worst" etc if he's done something wrong. It's one thing that has got me and the wife stumped on how to deal with. I do fear he's going to have a battle with his mental health when he's older so i don't rant and rave at him when he's being naughty.

I've told him to just support Man City to save himself the hassle of Everton lol

My daughters tantrums seem massively over the top to the point where we are already worrying about her as well, my wife works in the education department and said she does have a few signs of possibly being autistic.

Good thread too by the way and hopefully we can all give each other some advice when needed.
