I seen his recent interviews, he was obsessed with this attempt to take gold at his last Olympics

He did but that’s because he’s won everything else multiple times. Any tennis player would put one of the slams over an Olympic gold

I wonder how this compares in golfers minds to a major? It's only really golf football and basketball maybe 7s rugby that the olympics isn't seen as the pinnacle of the sport.

….i remember when it became an Olympic sport a number of the top players didn’t go, the likes of Justin Rose did and made history. Much more popular now.

I don't really understand the tactics of cycling but can anyone explain why those 3 European cyclists just let the American woman sprint away from them ? is it a simple case of they were more fatigued and couldn't stick with her or were they hoping she ran out of steam before the end or something ?

Whoever starts the chase gives a tow to the riders behind so they can conserve energy. They all waited for each other to do the hard work and as they all hesitated for too long the gap became too big pretty quickly.

Madness really.
