Being serious, it’s probably more the unknown factor that intrigues people. He’s still well regarded despite his Milan tenure and has generally set up his teams to be attack minded but aggressive defensively. Would be a gamble mid season, but I’d be cautiously optimistic.

Yes with the right players no doubt, we currently don’t have the players to play how he likes to. Not sure we have the players to play how any manager would want to so many can’t do the basics right. New manager might boost the group but it doesn’t take away from how poor the group are. Managers gone we now need players in.

So people annoyed Thelwell goes back in for the same player targets and don’t want to backtrack to Moyes as it’s unoriginal but want this guy who’s been linked in every vacancy with us for years
