Make me laugh the way people say we need a proven PL manager who won something
Ok here goes

Martínez-FaCup
Moyes - Community Shield
Pardew- EFL Cup winner
Hughes- Loads as a player
Pulis- play off final winner
Allardyce- Irish league thingy

All have proven PL experience and all won something.
Wouldn’t have any.
Fonseca’s won more in the Ukraine in 2 years then all of the above have won as a manager combined and they have 1000s of games Between them.
Also has more CL experience then all combined

Yep. Having Managers with PL experience has worked out so well for us in the past that the last time we won a trophy was 23 years ago. It is a formula that has proven to basically bring us nothing but stagnation and mediocrity.

What was it Einstein said. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Time to change the formula. Fonseca is an experienced winner which is what Everton need if we are to try and change our awfulness for the last few decades and move forward and actually become winners again.

Pardew never won a league cup.

His win percentages at Porto, Braga & Shakthar have been over 50% - at Shakthar it's a whopping 78.21% which, despite the league, is still very impressive. At Braga it was 50.88% which is impressive in itself.

His average total win % across all clubs he's ever managed is, as from the end of February, 51.04%

The guy wins football matches.

I can almost see it now, our loyal fanbase calling for his head 5 games into next season.

For me, watching the very few Shakhtar games i have (maybe 4-5 this season?), he strikes me a bit like Martinez, but with more nous. His game plan involves passing, but each player has their own role, and they all seem genuinely committed to playing for him.

I watched te Shakhtar away game at City. when they were tipped to lose 5/6-0, they went in were resilient and I think they should have actually been winning at one point, but missed a good chance.

I remember Pep praising them, and then they were very impressive against Roma in both legs.

I'd take a gamble on him, like he wants a gamble on us. Be our Pocchetino.

That Shakthar team reminds me of us during the 2013-14 season - a young(ish) group of hungry & talented players complimented with a smattering of experience and organisation.

If Fonseca can bring that back we'll be sound.

I find it really hard to assess him as a manager having only seen his Shakhtar team; they play lovely football but it’s a team of flair Brazilians. Not sure how he’d get on with our squad.

I'm hoping he looks at our squad and advises that he needs a few 'Flair Brazilians' to add few players that he'll keep from the 25 man squad.

His Braga side played some really good stuff and it was different to his set-up at Shakhtar. Built upon hard work in midfield and the ability to break a team down with pace out wide - whilst mixing it up in terms of passing.

You'd have been a fan, Nymz.

Half of them, anyhow.

I reckon so too, I like Braga as it his. Him on the sideline and DCL up front - swoon city.

Operation Goodison Clean-up, Location - my kecks.
