That isn't a problem. That is the game.

He wouldn't be getting offers from bigger clubs than ourselves unless he achieved something over at least a couple of seasons. For him to get offers and end up wetting himself again, then we'd have to do very well and be playing good football. I can live with that to be honest.

Apparently most of the players had gone to Silva and asked to go with him to Everton. Probably why they were all so cheesed off and downed tools...

Players love him. He bought in a few to Watford and clearly they must have been peeved when he was on his way.... our approach clearly derailed things.

I recall our players under moyes when they knew he was off. Difficult to stay focused.

Because Everton are miles above Watford in the footballing hierarchy.

He wont get better offers unless he proves he is a success at Everton. There are 6 better teams in England than us, none would touch him while he's unproven. Nor will the Italian, German or Spanish elite. Where would he be off to in 6 months?

If Benfica played in England, only United and Liverpool have more and less the same dimension and same history... And Benfica is the biggest club in Portugal..

Not sure there are actually 6 worse if I am honest.

We are 9th, with Newcastle and Watford not exactly far off. Rock bottom WBA should have beaten us.

And since when have we been in competition for players or managers with the Italian, German or Spanish elite?

And so would Celtic, Shakhtar, Ajax and half a dozen big fishes in pub leagues who's players and managers drop like a hot potato to come to England it means absolute zip and we dont want him regardless.

If where 4th we might get a better manager, also cant see a bigger club coming in for him next season if hes our manager

They've got a great history,like us Blues like to think we have.Don't want to get into who is the best Portuguese team etc.However no European trophy for 55 years.Were talking managers any way and he will get more money and exposure here than in Portugal.
