Maybe so mate, my take on this is a lot of the people who where 'effectively' being 'smug' with almost pronouncing Allardyce as today are backtracking quite fast and saying it's between two now, which means Allardcye wasn't as done a deal as people suggested.

Club delaying it if it is him now will just damage the announcement further as it was already popular when people thought there was no other option...

then again this is everton...

Rumours. there was a far size lay on Allardyce at roughly the same time, someone was just slightly reducing their liability if there was a late change of heart.

Honestly mate it's all interesting, but the sums are so so low. What's £500 to a football industry insider if they are that certain? It's chicken feed. It's fun to watch but I don't see anything in it.

Mate i dont even check the odds (can't from here as betting sites banned) but i don't believe anyone significant in this country at least knows a thing, because ultimately it's gonna be Moshiri making that call, if it was anyone else deciding it would 100% have already gotten out and the betting markets would be effectively closed.
 
If this Fonseca lid had been appointed 3 or 4 weeks ago I think I, along with most others on here, would have been a bit underwhelmed and asking "who?". But now, as the choice is either Fonseca or Sam, I know I'm going to be "GETTTTTTT INNNNNN!". Which has me questioning, did the club engineer this scenario to highten the feel good factor of a potential Fonseca appointment? Or am I giving the clowns on the board wayyyy too much credit?!

perhaps it is like that episode of DS9 where Worf allows General Martok to stab him in order to restore the morale of a ship full of Klingons, but I have my doubts
 
and here come Fonseca on the rails.....he,s neck and neck Big Sam, Fonseca, Big Sam Fonseca ...and at the line it,s Britex Bill with a gun to shoot Fonesca
