Getting this squad to play well together is a massive job. Why risk it with a total unknown. We are risking the history of the club with this. Allardyce has a proven track record in the league. Fonseca is a gamble who could put a stop to one of the proudest records in England 60+ consecutive years in the top flight.

This is a huge decision and allardyce is the safest and BEST decision in this situation. Fonseca would be pure stupidity. Maybe at the start of next season but now?? Moshiri needs to sort it out

He worked miracles with Pacos de Ferreira and got them in the CL, arguably a better achievement than Marco Silva getting Estoril into the EL. Only failed at Porto where there were always issues with the dressing room no matter who the coach was.

And Shakhtar don't exactly dominate their league like Celtic do, Dynamo Kyiv regularly challenge them, it's a surprisingly good quality league. Players like Willian, Fernandinho etc have all come from there.

Did Celtic also lose the league for two years straight before he arrived, and also have had to play their home games 800 miles away from their actual stadium - which has now been bombed to [Poor language removed] btw, with very few of their actual fans attending due to the fact most of them are either still in Donetsk and can't travel due to the conflict or are now living in Russia?
