See title, keeps freezing intermittently, sometimes it freezes on start up, works fine after a restart and doesnt even happen everyday, but its cracking me up now.

Picture wont upload for some strange reason, but maybe somebody can make sense of that crap, I dont have the exact time it froze, I was upstairs having a shave.

Yes, ive tried sawdust.

Ive ran a memory tester, ive cleaned the PC in case it was overheating, ive ran a virus checker and a malware checker, ive checked drivers, I ran a windows check to make sure that was working, I just dunno, its baffling me lads.

What programmes do you have starting up on start up

Go in to task manager. Disable all programmes and then trial and error. Its possibly a non compatible programme with Windows 10.

You doing any over-clocking?

If you watch live footy at 3pm Saturday on it that could be the problem.
Ask someone you know to clean it up .

I had a similar problem and after doing much of what you've done no success. Then I read if you remove the power cable but hold the start button down for 30 seconds it completely drains any residual charge in the computer.

Highly sceptical I tried this, re-plugged it in and the problem has disappeared. I have no idea why but it's cured it.

You done any driver updates recently also?

No overclocking and the problems have only started after they forced this piece of crap windows 10 on me.

I will certainly try that.

Yes.

How old is the computer - is it custom or a consumer grade (laptop)?

All that kernel indicates is that the computer had an unscheduled shutdown or loss of power.

Doesn't indicate why.

Drivers is a big thing with windows 10. Particularly graphics drivers. What GPU are you using?

Have you done a system restore point
lately ?
If so check a date when it was running ok and put back to that date.
sounds daft but clean the air inlets , were it sucks the air in above the fan, common problem on some makes, does as you say, just get a pin and unblock , then hoover the slots.
Last resort back up anything you want to keep, and factory restore.
