Same as last year I think, they've been around since 2008.

For someone who's heard their names a million times - I still don't know them, haha.

It also has a live update option you can switch on.. so players will get bumped up or down in ratings based on their last match.

FIFA has had that for some time now.

I've never understood the PES/FIFA war.

That said I think that the overwhelming consensus is that nowadays FIFA is better. PES seems to have slipped.

It's all subjective though. To me authenticity is a big thing and I prefer the gameplay in the modern FIFAs too. I could play the old PES games and have a decent time but I've tried each of the last 3 PES demos and just had a horrid time with it. The newest one felt like I was playing in some kind of syrup world where everyone moved like Maggy Gueye.

PES is best on PC - you can download all the kits, proper stats, updated squads, etc. I've always been more of a PES person than FIFA, but played much more FIFA12 than PES12. That said, the two games provide different types of gameplay which are both good/bad in their own right.

Said it for years...its now just down to personal preference rather than "which is better".

PES for me has always been more personable. You can tweak the game/players/stadiums/sounds to how you want. Its pretty much more like a customisable PC game on a console.

With FIFA you get what you're given.
