Peter Kay

Pheonix Nights was brilliant, but always thought his stand up was terrible. Big audience for that nostalgia comedy, but not my bag.

“Remember Space Hoppers, eh? Remember them? From the 70s? Big red thing? You’d have days of fun on those.”

Seen nearly all of the cast of Phoenix Nights individually doing stand up over the years.

Without doubt the two funniest where Toby Foster, who played Les Campbell, the drummer on the house band and Daniel Kitson, who played Spencer.

Foster was just so quick and intelligent, with his takes of life in South Yorkshire ( he`s had a show for years on Radio Sheffield ) and Kitson was just bonkers, very similar to his Spencer Character.

The worst was Dave Spikey, he just wasn`t funny, a likeable fella, but just not funny as a comedian.

I never saw Paddy McGuiness, as he`s up there with John Bishop for being an annoying bellend.
