If this was his last game it's a sad day.

Never loved a player so much.
On and off the pitch he was a role model for our club. The derby goal and the United pen aside, I remember a away game at QPR in 2012. A 1-1 draw but he was so immense in that game. Put his body on the line, was like a second goalkeeper and Haß so many crunching tackles and clearances in this game, outstanding. From this moment it was clear, if I ever get boy he will ne named Phil.

This became reality in 2016 and I became a proud dad of wonderful twins (boy and girl) and we named the lad Phil.

Jags will always be a part for the rest of my life and one day my lad will ask me why his name is Phil and I will say because your nothing but the best!

Thanks for the memories skipper, you never let me down.

Your biggest fan from germany.

Very admirable as he has been fantastic for us.
New era now and the next to take his place I would like is someone that will bite , scratch , punch and scream every game and in the ear of the ref for 90 minutes.
Win at all costs.
The king is dead...long live the ( new ) king.

Remember his first season when Moyes tried him at CM he was shocking. But as soon as he went to CB has been absolutely brilliant, likes others have said have seen him countless times put his body on the line, seems like an end of an era. Wonder if sheff Utd will offer him a deal for a year maybe? His experience to them would be a valuable thing to have.

Thanks for your efforts, Phil. We've really appreciated you. Best of luck in the final year(s) of your career. You'll always be welcome at a Goodison. COYB. Once a Blue...

I cannot believe you named your child after Phil Nikodem Jagielka lol

I always liked the way he conducted himself, he has been a great servant to Everton (and Sheffield United) and he always comes across as a nice and humble guy.I have a feeling that Jags will be back at Bramall Lane for next season. My favourite jags moment would be the goal at anfield obviously! It was sad and cruel, that injury prevented him leading Everton, out at Wembley for that 2009 FA cup final. But all the best Jags.

His goal at the pit was enough for me, but he has contributed to so much in his time at the club. Glad he got a send off at Goodison

I wish he had of bowed out with a bit more dignity. Going to Sky saying he’s still hoping for a contract.

C’mon, Jags, you’re going to be 37 in the summer. You’ve made enough money out of the club now.

I dont think one can call him a legend. Ability wise not at that level. But loyal is a word i would use. Captained the club at s difficult time. Poor team. Bad atmosphere but he never complained and just got on with it. The goal v liverpool will re replayed no doubts. I did feel he started too many matches in his latter years. But everton did that with others like howard and osman as well. Love to see him at sheffield utd for a year. Thanks jags xx.

Maybe not a legend, but definitely a loyal servant. And if Hibbert gets a testimonial, I don't see why Jags can't, he did more than Hibbert ever did.
In a bit chuncky, thanks for your 'service' multi millionaire
Yes, because Jags is the only footballer who's overpaid. If that's your problem with him, go support a non-EPL team.
