His been a loyal servant to club so the supposed interest of him going back to Sheff Utd as his contracts up and better to clear him off wages immediately is best for all

Overall...him, Distin, Lescott...that period of time was the best centre back parings in our premier league era imo.

Set a benchmark for the level we need.

Personally, hope he goes to Sheff United next season. Become an important player on and off the pitch for them before he retires.

Davey weir and yobo were good but have to agree as far as partnerships lescott and jags were by far the best we have had in the prem and at the time I’m not sure if I would have swapped them for another pairing tbh

Deffo not a red, he doesn’t go for the ball, he goes in front of it to block tackle . The wolves player doesn’t actually try to kick the ball, he puts his foot in front of it and that’s how jags caught him.
