Not sure why anyone is having a pop at him. He got in the team in his latter years because even at half pace he was still a better defender than anyone we bought. In his peak he pissed over nearly every centreback in the league.

....Jack Rodwell and Victor Anichebe recently used FF to keep fit when they didn’t have a club. I’d be amazed if Jagielka couldn’t have the same arrangement if he required it.
Not sure of the situation at Burnley, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they invited him to join their pre-season. I’m sure Jagielka has plenty of playing contract offers.

He was not a great player nowhere near,he certainly was not a great captain,and if utd would of come in for he would not have been so loyal.
Then we will agree to disagree, just one thing about your last sentence, so you know for a fact like, that Jagielka would have signed for Man United then if asked ? Take it you have proof, if so please share it with us.

Depends how you define a great player. He was an England international starting at a World Cup. At one point he was behind only Ferdinand and Vidic in terms of premier league centrebacks. He got over a cruciate ligament injury to have over a decade in the top half of the premier league. Maybe not a great player but a very very good one.
