Apparently Phil doesn't have the requisite coaching badges to be a first team coach in Spain - for that reason he won't be (on paper at least) the manager vs Barca. There'll be another member of coaching staff to sign off etc.
Explains why he was 'overlooked'.
Anyone watching class of 92? He comes across as a decent bloke, same with Gary Neville. I don't think he's got the presence to be a manager though.
