From Associated Press:

DORTMUND, Germany: Borussia Dortmund has sent midfielder Steven Pienaar to Premier League club Everton on loan.

Terms of the deal for the 25-year-old South African were not released. He will be at Everton for the coming season, Dortmund said Friday.

Dortmund signed Pienaar from Ajax last season, hoping he would replace longtime playmaker Tomas Rosicky, who left for Arsenal.

However, Pienaar failed to impress three different coaches at the club, going scoreless in 25 games.

Great news if its true I hope he can handle the pace of the premiership if he can then definitely a steal if we sign him for £2 million.

As I stated in another thread about this.. if it's true it's great, but I don't trust it until I've seen it on the official homepage.

He more or less signed last night lads. Everton are waiting to announce a 'double swoop' when we sort out Vogel.

Everton are hoping they'll be on a plane to America by the weekend.

Same as Blue Wiz, im alway skeptical of this until its announced officially. Great deal it it works out though. And with a supposed option to buy for 2M then that seems pretty good too.

Yeah it astonishes me the state of the press these days. There just seems to be no regulation on what you can and can't say.

Its like me waving a huge flag with cakes and muffins on it outside my house. Then when peeps arrive I tell them that they are on their way.

It would be interesting to go through the archives on players that have been reported as signed, only for it to turn up that they weren't.

Obviously I hope he does sign, and sources close to me, tell me that it is the case, but I just wish the papers would print facts and not hearsay.

Excellent signing, does anyone know if he played with Van Der Meyde during his time at Ajax? maybe someone he might know and get on with well to help the team spirit.
