Pitch Invader BANNED....

Puts the three year ban on the coward that punched Neville at Anfield into focus. Allegedly that fan now sits in another part of the ground, bit of a local hero and all that.

The court heard Clarke was leaving the ground when Owen scored deep into injury time ...

He was so caught up in the drama of the match that he decided to leave before the end & yet was so overcome with emotion after a goal was scored, that he probably didn't even see, he then found himself on the pitch through no fault of his own - what a tosser!

cantona assaulted the fan imo, feet first over the hoardings, the fan threw punches back and who could blame him when faced with a set of studs coming his way. sure, he provoked the attack with what he supposedly said but believe me, i had learned a far worse phrase in french that was gonna head his way the next time he'd played against us.
cantona should have been banned sine die.
bellend shouldn't have got away with what he did.
he was daft to run on but the 3 years seems steep despite what the ground regs say, if there was a set fine like in oz at the cricket then it would put people off, although many a whip round was had on Yabbas Hill in 95 for Barmy Army members who ran the naked gauntlet, was well worth chipping in for the fun of it all, removal of clothing would probably not carry the same ban as someone who appears threatening.

bring back the female streakers !! ffs.

Evening Reidy

Love your honesty pal (y)

I must admit I loved it when Cantona did that to the ******** lowlife

The player strikes back brilliant siege mentality and all that

Could have been a more even contest if he had attacked a certain angry Scouser though :D

i agree with the punishment the lad got, As for Bellamy what a tit, who does he think he is, i'd love to kick the S*** out the little horrible hobbit! the guy wasn't even going for him and when the 4 stewards had hold of the guy he decides to give him a slap! what a F*****. acting in self defense Hughes said! Ha ha what a joke of a player, Manager and club!

Crazy decision that just goes to reflect the increasing disconnect between the game and its supporters. Time to chill out and remember this is just a game. I find it bizarre when fans act outraged at a player giving them a bit of stick back but the same applies the other way too.

It's like everyone has their pants on too tight or something. Speaking of which I suspect if some guy/girl decided to streak at a match now they'd be put onto the sex offenders register and branded a paedo for life. The world has gone mad.

These things used to happen regularly back in the day and no one batted an eye lid. I can't remember an instance of a player ever being hurt by a fan coming onto the pitch, yet now everyone is so precious. Our guy that accosted Nyarko for instance. Nyarko acted like the guy had tried to rape his wife and the fan got banned for life. Heavens above.
