I'm a Blue from Germany, currently living in Austria, and I have regretfully never been to Goodison because for most of my time as a Blue I've either been a school kid or a broke university student. Now that I've finally entered the workforce and I can afford it I want to go to a match before the place is gone.

Do you have any tips for me how to go about it? Ticket sales always start fairly close to the matches so planning ahead seems a bit difficult. I'm planning to go in the latter half of February so I can be miserable with some of you in the freezing cold.

Any input would be appreciated (also tips on where to stop stay and the like).

Thanks!

Best bet would be to join an Everton Supporters club. Not sure which would be the best for you to join but it's generally cheap to join a supporters club and they get allocated tickets for games.

Edit: I see on another site there's a German Everton supporters club. Can private message you with the email of the guy over it if you want

Maybe keep your eye on the Match tickets thread...or like the poster above said join the supporters club.

You should be able to get a ticket at some point.

I'd highly recommend you contact the club directly mate. There's so much wrong with Everton Football Club in 2024 but one of the things we still get right is fan interaction like this. I'm sure that someone at the club would be able to help you get a ticket (especially if you aren't fussed about where you're sitting) for a game.

Ticket; the key ingredient;
Very very, deep pockets - or a very generous friend.

….Goodison Stadium Tour would be a must if you’re coming over. I think you can book on-line and I’d imagine they’ll be increasingly popular as the season draws to a close.

Avoid at all costs The Adelphi hotel, as it makes the Bates motel look like the Ritz.

Premier Travel Inn, at the Albert Dock would be suitable.

Bus 19, from Queens Square in town centre, will drop you right outside the Park End,

If you fancy a pint near the ground, get down there early as they get packed, especially the Winslow.

You need to walk down to BMD to see the new stadium, and the museums at the Liverpool waterfront are cool.

Matthew street in town centre if you are a Beatles fan, but avoid food and drink here, as it is a tourist trap.

Wrap up well as it will be freezing cold, with a gale force wind blowing.

Habt einen schönen Besuch.

COYB.
