No team outside the top 4 has won the cup since we won it in 1995 so in reality this will make bugger all difference. I suspect he knows this and is just trying to suck up to the little guy.

I think it is a very good idea.

The FA Cup used to be the prestgious event on the calendar.

This will up its importance and make it a lot more competitive.

The FA has only lost its glamour because of the importance place on C/L and the lack of respect given to it by the big four and a series of foreign managers. These days I hardly ever watch it because of overkill.

The point Bruce makes is extremely valid so little will change but at least its a step in the right direction, unless G14 say otherwise:blink:

the question we have to ask is what is more likely for everton fc? a fourth place finish or cup winners. which ever you think is more likely then that is what we should support as a club.
