We've not had one of these yet. Feel free to dispute mine, or add your own underneath.

Howard-8. Very solid game. Pulled off some incredible saves. Much improved.
Neville-6. Quiet game. Was part of a solid defense.
Jagielka-6. Unlucky for the own goal, but he's still not really the rock he was in the past.
Distin-8. Good game. Kept Tevez quiet. He's also a very clever player.
Baines-8. Stood off a bit much at times, but made some good challenges, and my word, what a goal.
Coleman-5. Quiet. Didn't really do much, but did very well for the assist for Cahill.
Fellaini-6. Very good at breaking up play. Simple effective passing game. Didn't do anything deserving of a 7 though.
Rodwell-6. Some nice moments. My thoughts were, he'd look very comfortable playing for a West Ham or a Blackpool or something. Which considering his age, is not a detractment at all.
Osman-6. Didn't do an awful lot. Made some good tackles, kept the ball moving. He looks alright on the left though doesn't he? Should maybe have done a bit better with the shot he had.
Cahill-8. Fairly awesome. A goal and an assist. Well taken header, and he had some pretty nifty footwork at times, skilling Cities players. We will miss him. Badly.
Anichebe-5. Good work in the build up for Baines' goal, but that was about it from he. Not entirely his fault, as a lot of the balls were hit towards his head, which isn't a strong point of his at all. Maybe a bit unlucky to get sent off?

I've been deliberately a bit harsh, but we were slightly dominated, so I can hardly go giving out 8's to players that hardly touched the ball.

I'd pretty much agree with all that, apart from a couple. Maybe Distin edged a 9?

I was disappointed with Vic. His big chance there. No more than a 4 from me.

Would have Neville as a 7, Vic as a 7 and Osman as a 5.
Ossy gave the ball away far to cheaply and his passing was a bit rusty.

Anichebe was playing well until the sending off, deserves more than a 5.

Think Fella deserves a 7 at least, done a lot of good stuff breaking play up and sticking his foot in, which was his role tonight and given the way the game went, he couldnt really contribute going forward. Done HIS job very well, thats a 7 for me.

Howard - 8.5. A keeper making lots of great saves isn't some lucky miracle like people often think -- it's one of your players doing their job well. And that he did; excellently, and I take back my criticism of him this season. He's made a few clangers, but there he was proving why he's numero uno for us, and the USA.

Neville - 7. Solid.

Jags - 7. Solid. Unlucky for their goal.

Distin - 9. MOTM. Immense throughout. I've already waxed lyrical in other threads though.

Baines - 8. Amazing goal. Big part in both of them, incidentally, and he defended excellently too.

Coleman - 6. Great assist. Fairly solid game.

Rodwell - 7. Excellent for someone who is still only 19; a mature performance.

Fellaini - 7.5. Needs to stop stamping, even though he's just going for the ball admittedly. Immense defensively though. Won the ball back really well to allow us to score our first, for example. A presence in the middle, like he was in the fabled 2-0 Goodison win last season; Bellamy; pirouette; nuff said about that one.

Osman - 6. Not bad. Not a perfect stand in for Pienaar, but didn't let himself down at all.

Cahill - 8. Good goal, good assist, but fantastic passion and workrate. We're going to miss him badly.

Anichebe - 5. Harsh sending off imo. He got no second chance or benefit of the doubt, and the first yellow was beyond soft. Held the ball up well when he was on the pitch, but never really got involved too much... although he did play a big part in Baines' goal.

Ref - 5. Stupid sending off, and speaking objectively, they should have had a pen. I'd argue only one though on balance, not the billion they wanted. Inconsistent too.

Moyes - 8. Interesting subs, interesting lineup, but what can I say? It worked, seemingly. Skin of your teeth kind of stuff, and on another day it might not have, but it did so credit where it's due. Now comes the hard part: beating the teams we should be beating!

Agree here.. Well I agree with it all ..

When Distin held up play at the end, than turned up field 35 yards I was screaming with praise.

would agree with a lot of that. Distin for me tho was awesome, backs to the wall stuff most of the game and he had things covered for the most part, showing some composure and even the odd lurch up forward with the ball at his size 13s. Howard made some great stops, making up for one or two bloopers this term. Anichebe has a bad attitude. I thought he was lazy and appealed for everything instead of battleing for the ball. First free kick was soft, easily avoided. Ref was a bit harsh with the second. (Same ref who didnt see jags get studded in half by toures studs but saw screech's 3" off the deck being worthy of a yellow.)
Screech was good, solid stuff, winning the ball and moving it nice and easy. Nothing dramatic but much needed. TC up front is fab, never stops working and must be a reet beetch to play against, agressive, physical and in yer face.

Great result lads

I'd agree with everyone..Osman deserves a 7..His passing was very consistent tonight...

Id give Saha an 8 even though he was brought on pretty late. He did what he was supposed to and that was to hold up the ball and waste as much time as possible.

Crap, I forgot subs

Saha-7. Looked good, actually. Won the ball in the air, and kept hold of it a bit.

Bily-7. Good run near the end to get Toure his second booking. Maybe a bit of a glimps into what he could do playing in the centre?

Hibbert-7. Didn't really have to do anything. But we didn't concede a goal while he was on the pitch. So kudos.

A good thread mate, well in.

Bilya was excellent, only made one mistake in the time he was on.

Tim Cahill showed his power running with the ball again, nice work Tim.

Victor and Saha were both decent, altho as I said in the match thread, would have been nice to see Louis matching the workrate of his teammates who have been on the pitch for an hour already.

Howard 9 - saved our bacon tonight. After some very edgy moments this year, it was good to see him back to his best.
Neville 7 - did what Phil Neville does.
Jags 7.5 - bad luck for their goal but otherwise did his job well
Distin 9 - MOTM - immense
Baines 8 - delicious goal and arguably the best left back in the country at the moment
Coleman 6.5 - struggled to make a consistent impact on the game but hey, nice assist for TC
Fellaini 7.5 - did his job well
Rodwell 7.5 - exactly the same
Osman 7 - for someone who's been injured for a while, he didn't do badly at all, well done Ossie
Cahill 8 - really hope we survive without him. Another excellent performance and he keeps banging them in
Anichebe 6 - struggled at times albeit unlucky to ultimately see red. I don't think he's cut out for the level we're looking to aim for but he was by no means awful tonight, gave a decent account of himself

Saha 6.5 - held the ball up well on a few occasions, better than recent offerings
Bily 6.5 - again, played his part and an above post says, maybe that run in stoppage time was a glimpse as to what he could do in the centre? Because I think that's what we should be trying when TC's in Asia
Hibbert N/A - not on long but no mistakes

Moyes 7.5 - not sure whether it was him or the players but I was uneasy with how easily we let City territorially get on top of us BUT his subsitutions worked IMO.

Completely agree with the 9s for Tim Howard and Distin - they were amazing from minute 0 to minute 94.
