Hey guys, just registered here to give you some Cambuur-perspective on Joao Virginia.
So far, pretty impressed. From the start you could tell Joao is a talented goalkeeper; athletic and (mentally) quick. In his first matches with us though he's had some great saves as well as some howlers, costing us some very expensive points (we'd do well to stay up this year).

It seems as though he's turned a page in the last couple of matches, ignore the 5-1 beatdown we had a few weeks ago though; we ended that match with nine men and lacking a coach. Anyway, Joao's really turned up lately; keeping a clean sheet in the last two matches (three total this season). The national press here seems to have noticed as well. The main reason I signed up here (because I figured this would fly under your collective radar) is Joao Virginia's been selected for the team of the week in basically all major media; Telegraaf, Algemeen Dagblad, ESPN and Voetbal International.

So far, and I can't speak for all of our supporters, but most of us are very happy with this loan transfer and it's obvious Joao himself is already growing as a result of his temporary stay with us. Cheers!

Thanks for joining and giving us some feedback. If you could post weekly that would be appreciated by us all ?

Nathan Broadhead at Wigan (Championship) scored the winning goal in the 62nd minute before subbed off in the 67th minute of his side’s 1-0 home win over Blackburn.

Lewis Gibson at Bristol Rovers (League One) played the full 90 and kept a clean sheet in his side’s 0-1 away win over MK Dons.

Great news for Gibson that. Looks like as soon as he's proved his fitness Barton got him straight into the side. Bodes well for him....if he can stay fit!!

Hopefully get a fat transfer fee….

Cheers for the info though!

Branthwaite not in the squad again for PSV's match last night (a 5-0 win v Zurich). Tried to do a search to see if he is injured but couldn't find anything (other than the fact that his nickname in Holland appears to be "Gerrit").

Joao is doing very well in the Eredivisie. Apparently was in the team of the week recently. Maybe he can become our number 2 next season.
