Good to see him do well here. Hasn’t seen any game time since starting in a 3-0 defeat at the start of the month.
I thought Branthwaite had a very good game, quietly composed but effective in the first half but stepped up when needed in the second half, didn’t give Saka an inch and really put his body on the line with that last ditch tackle with 2 Arsenal players battering into him . He may have picked a knock then as he was substituted not long after to a standing ovation from the crowd - although admittedly two others were being subbed too ?
He seemed to have a problem with his shoulder after that clearance. I thought he might have injured his leg as one of the Arsenal players landed heavily on it, but he was holding his arm and shoulder a few times after that.
