Honestly, you just couldn't make this stuff up even if you tried, if this is true then heads need to role for this imo, utter basket case we are.

It’s a head scratcher all right??!! Have we brought him back had a look and decided Maupay is still a better option? Are we about to sign someone so don’t need him now? It’s all very odd and just looks like there’s no joined up decision making between the departments at the club, loan manager, recruitment team, management. So as hoc and scatter gun. Messing the kid around.

Branthwaite started and played 90 mins for PSV today in their 2-2 draw. A couple of lineups had him down as right centre back in a four, interesting.
Any insights how he played and if he can expect to be starting more 2nd half of the season for them? Or did he just start because one of their usual centre backs was suspended or injured? Of the players out on loan he’s one with most potential to make it in the first team.

Agree, also it could be that he got hassled in his car last week and he has decided he doesn't want to stay around?

No I didn’t see any of it. But Branthwaite played right centre back again for PSV in their 1-0 win at home to Vitesse . PSV are second in their league and if he’s managing to start regularly for them it can only help his development. It may be a more technical less aggressive league than the PL but that’s probably what he needs, more development of his technical skills , he’s got the size and aggression for the PL

I haven't seen any of the matches live but it seems like he has displaced the usual centre back André Ramalho (an experienced Brazilian).

As mentioned, Tom Cannon played 81 minutes for Preston away to Birmingham. He went off with his team winning 2-0. Final score 2-1.

Lewis Dobbin came off the bench on 83 minutes for Derby at home to Bolton with his team 2-0 up. Final score 2-1.

Lewis Warrington played the 78 minutes in Fleetwood's 1-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday. Score was 1-0 when he was subbed.

Ryan Astley played 79 minutes for Accrington in their 3-1 loss at Barnsley. It was 3-0 when he came off.

Jarrad Branthwaite played another 90 minutes for 2nd placed PSV in their 1-0 home win vs Vitesse.

For Ellis it's pretty crappy.... He's been seemingly used as a safety net.

Positively seen, perhaps a better back up incoming.

Forgot to add that yesterday Joao Virginia played the whole game and lost 3-0 for Cambuur at home to Sparta Rotdam. Cambuur are bottom of the table with only 9 points. He seems to be getting good write ups though.

Dele Alli finally got on the pitch today after 70 minutes for Besiktas away to Kayserispor. Besiktas were already winning 2-0 which is how the game finished.

JP Gbamin not on the bench today for Trabzonspor who won 4-0 at home to Istanbulspor. Presumably injured.

André Gomes also injured and didn't make the bench for Lille's cup tie at home against Pau. His team are currently heading for the last 16 winning 1-0.

Niels Nkounkou's St Étienne not playing this weekend as they are already out of the cup.

Good god, we've signed some crap.

Interesting that Branthwaite is at PSV where Brands is back as DoF. Not sure if we should be concerned, surprised or even bothered that he's deemed good enough for PSV but not for our utterly inept team.

Everton "Day of Days" loan round up...

Ryan Astley played the full 120 minutes in Accrington's 1-0 extra time FA Cup victory at home to Boreham Wood

Lewis Warrington started for Fleetwood and was subbed off after 62 minutes with his team 0-1 down at home to Pompey. Final score 0-2.

Lewis Dobbin came on after 68 minutes for Derby away to Port Vale with his team losing 1-0. Derby came back to win 2-1 with Dobbin providing the assist for the winner.

Jarrad Branthwaite started and played the full 90 minutes for the 4th match running. Unfortunately PSV had a man sent off and lost 1-0 away to Emmen. His contract expires in 2024. I wonder if Marcel Brand is looking to keep him sweet by giving him playing time in order to buy him on the cheap this summer?
