Even if the amounts of all the players are not entirely correct we know that by and large the overall amounts are not a million miles from the truth.

Looking at those lists it would be possible to make savings of about 25m per year without crippling the squad which is a sad reflection of the transfer business in recent years.

This gets worse when you consider this is the third or even fourth effort at trimming unwanted players and their salaries from the club.
