Weird thing, i looked for out-of contract players, a striker that would play more than vela (who is barely going to play this season) and i picked keogh, wolves striker, in first team against WHU. but normally you have to wait 48 hours right before you can put him in your team. this time i just submitted the switch, keogh for vela and now he's in my team already, took all of 10 seconds, why is that? is it cuz he was in someone else's team before already or just a random fluke?
cuz the other switch i put in is still waiting the 48 hours..
 
I think you got Keogh straight away because you were number 1 in the Priority list, same thing happend to me with Robbie Blake.

You get the first one then drop to the bottom of the list and have to wait 48 hours on second one for everyone else to have a go, if your player doesn't get picked up by anyone else in the 48 hours then you get him.

But the thing is, i was number one before as well, and even then i had to wait 48 hours for vanden borre and kovac..
 
Says in the rules that you have to wait 48 hours after initial team selection to go after out of contract players. To give everyone a fair chance to get their requests in play.

Gives those people who can't log on straight after the draft a chance to check out their teams and put their selections in.

After the initial 48 hours it's supposed to be some sort of free for all.

Still don't get it but pfft not complaining..
 

They're all instantly available after the 48 hours following the allocation.

Same goes for guys that we release and newly added ones - 48hrs where the priority list decides, then up for grabs for anyone after that.

That's how I managed to pull a fast one and grab Fabio as soon as I realised he was playing - too late for last night, but hoping he'll start on Wed...

On the transfer history, you'll see 'Notice pickups' & 'Out-of-contract pickups'...

Signed Stephen Hunt today and I'm trying to get rid of Kevin Prince Boateng. Didn't realise Tottenham loaned him out to Dortmund.:DAlso looking for an extra CB another goalkeeper and a decent striker. With Yakubu still out, I only have Kenwyne Jones as a guaranteed starter. Luckily I can also play Tiny Tim there.
