Poll: Complete the season at neutral venues behind closed doors

I know everyone wants to wait for fans. I don't like watching empty venues either. I've watched a few games where Eastern European racists got stadiums closed and it's eerie and a whole year of that will be awful. But not playing for a whole year would be worse and a lot of clubs, including very possibly ours, would struggle to stay afloat through that if the TV companies came for the money.

I don't agree with the "football without fans is a joke" line anymore but I do think we should scrap the season and prepare for the next.

We must remember that we live in a coronavirus world now and we must adjust to that. There will not be a date where we wake up and the virus is all gone, even with vaccines. The best we can hope for is to immunise as much of the population as possible and get the number of infections as low as possible. I think that can only be done after many months so we can't expect large gatherings like crowds at stadiums perhaps until 2021 but football can return but without the crowds. Do we really want to wait until 2021 for it to return with crowds or let it return much earlier, say September, without them? I miss football and would gladly watch it without crowds for now. Its far from ideal but I'd take it over nothing.

It is - like every other scenario i've seen mooted to finish the season - an utterly preposterous idea. Just call it off. Void it, do what they did in Holland, whatever. Trying to restart or relegate/promote sides based on PPG just don't work.
This. Trying to rush and improvise ways to finish the season in the next few months will only put people at risk. Hopefully it will be safer by September and then we can have an uninterrupted 20/21 season begin as normal but probably still behind closed doors.

I'd rather watch no football for a year and enjoy when it eventually comes back, than watch behind closed doors garbage which could also be dangerous for peoples health.

The loons will be advocating pitches being marked out like this . Therefore keeping social distancing measures

It's pretty reasonable to play games without crowds once testing is at the right point. I think Germany will prove that.

I'm not sure people are properly weighing the consequences of not playing until 2021, which to me is the earliest crowds will be back. Even responsibly run entities won't be able to survive 9 months of no revenue. There will barely be enough clubs to have a league.

Germany might not get that chance, the government are supposedly going to step in to try and talk them out of restarting next weekend

People are dying in tens of thousands yet the premier league are scrambling to play 90 plus games of football just to complete the season and see their beloved Liverpool crowned champions. It really shows you where the game is at in 2020. Its run by scum of the earth mercenaries who'd happily sacrifice lives so long as they get what they want. Vermin of the highest order.

Its not difficult ffs. The games should be played when it's safe for fans to attend as normal or they shouldn't be played at all. It's absolutely disgusting that this is even seriously being talked about. Shame on everyone pushing for it. If one single life is lost because of this nonsense then the top brass who want this to happen should be jailed for murder.

The spectacle will be horrendous.

Plus its completely reckless to allow football while everyone else is told to socially distance. Testing doesn't create immunity. You could easily be tested then contract it later. And being in a stadium with 3 or 400 others is very high risk I'd have thought.

I'm sorry but there is just NO other option that is viable for everyone than to null and void the season. Apart from this solution being implemented asap ALL other scenario's are self serving and /or greed based. The huge loss of lives must be taken into account. Yes I love my football, as we all do... but it's a long way down on my list of priorities right now. Let's get over this pandemic first before considering anything else.
