How did that work out for them?

He must have won LOADS of trophies.

As it is he won less than Ronald Koeman.

They appointed that Lopetegui the other year, an absolute no mark. They appointed Zidane on the basis that he was a great player for them, but he’d won nothing as a manager. He was their David Unsworth.

Imagine thinking that Real Madrid appointing (and then sacking) you means you’re a world class manager.

I karnt deal wiv dees ppl.

If you're a PL club and you hire Moyes, it's like telling the world you'd rather not exist but there's too much capital tied up in it to stop existing.

Most of us would like to play exciting , attacking football.
However you have to cut your cloth.
If you don't have galactico's you can't play the same way.
Look at the disaster that was Martinez attempting to be Barcelona.
When he was here Moyes did incredibly well , on the financial backing that he had. El Fraudo , Ronko , and Silva had fortunes in comparison. Moyes also got us 4th.
Just look at our league positions , delivered on a pittance.
West Ham have realised that they have splurged the cash , it palpably hasn't worked , and if they had persisted with the status quo , they were heading down.
Too good to go down is BS , as we have all seen since Forest went down decades ago , and therein lies a lesson.
We have learnt it , and thanks to Moshiri (and circumstances) have got a "Get out of Jail Card" via one of the best managers in the game.
Despite being given a free stadium , West Ham are not in the same position.
They have made a pragmatic choice (much as I dislike the club , and ownership) , and they will survive.
For what he achieved here (he came into a moribund club who were on the way out of the league) , I wish Moyesey well !

Alice in Wonderland stuff this. ^^^

In reality: Moyes got us 17th place and nearly relegated in his 2nd season...which in any other era would have seen him sacked at the season's end; and he had us playing hoofball for 11 years with no success. Martinez here 3 seasons showed on his first how football should be played and ran up a points and win record for a PL season...way beyond the negative Moyes' capabilities.

He's at West Ham now because they literally cant get anyone better in. Moyes's stock is rock bottom. The type of manager you turn to when all other options have been tried.

Meanwhile Martinez is an International manager for a no mark backwater footy team.
