No it's not, it's in a place called Shell Corner named that because during the war a similar shell was placed on the traffic Island and it was a collection point for donations for wounded soldiers, in the 60's the Council removed it but few years back some local art students painted a replacement shell and it was mounted not far from the original place. On Remberence Sundays we now have a service there

1924, if it's the same one. Still think it's distasteful, that of course is my personal opinion
