Baguettes are good but Im not into those skinny baguette ones. You need space for the filling and the baguette shouldnt dominate the consistency of the sandwich, more just enhance it.
Pasties on barms sounds a bit meffy but I would probably try it on the sly.
Sauce with pasties has a place in my heart.

Im going with the pastie and a cherry bakewell, i cant be arsed making bacon this late.
Bacon butty, the bacon not overcooked too much, a barm cake, some butter, brown sauce. BINGO.
I like my Bacon just on the right side of burnt.
I prefer it slightly raw mate.

fat has to have a crisp too it, i found america's version of bacon to be poor, always burnt shrivelled little rashers, their lamb is crap too
