Phenomenally is a clever player too lest we forgetBoth can organise defense as well as attack,
Prioritise winning games rather than just the amount of passes a team make,
Both take the time to coach attacking and defending set pieces rather than ignoring them as unimportant.
Neither habitually use the word ‘phenomenal’ to describe the crushingly mundane, i.e; ‘Cleverly is a phenomenal player’
Good points about Derby tbf. I'm admit to being very impressed but you are right, sort of a free hit and not a standard situation. However at least he is sticking it out in a lower league and proving himself as a strong leader yet again. This gives him an extra point for me over Dunc but at least Dunc will get fans united in the short term and help wash away the toxicity even for a day, which may work wonders and is needed badlyNot Benitez.
Everything else is romanticism on Everton behalves.
Rooney, to his absolute credit, has done amazing at Derby. But then you remember that Derby have a free hit this year, Rooney cannot lose.. if they tanked, he can fall back on the “well, my resources were limited” and if he succeeded he’s a miracle worker.
The players, they’re all playing for contracts, and they’ve all stepped up. But they’ve been written off, and subsequently they have nothing to lose every game.
Derby in administration is a lot different to Everton in the gutter, at rock bottom, in reality. I think it’s too soon for Rooney, but he’s done well.
Ferguson, is there anything to suggest it’s good other than he’s passionate? He was lucky against Chelsea, every single fan was desperate for it, and it’s more telling of what a rocking Goodison can do. Love the bloke, but 6 managers he’s been with and no one knows what his responsibility is.
I expect Ferguson to get it to the end of the season, but I’d wait until the Villa game, because if we get a hiding it’ll turn toxic extremely quickly, again.
Same here. And if we give it to Dunc til the summer it would be harsh to replace him with a younger lad he mentored, especially if he did a decent job.I'd be disappointed if Rooney bailed mid season on Derby. He's gone balls deep there and is doing a cracking job and would hate to see him turn his back on them when they need him most.
Don't think he will but we're Everton aren't we.

Yeah , have to say I’ve historically been hostile to Rooney but he has impressed me with the way he has approached the Derby job.I'd be disappointed if Rooney bailed mid season on Derby. I'm getting bad flashbacks to RM's interviews reading these! As for set pieces, if we replace a 15yr old set piece set up with a no set piece set up it would have to be the most Everton that thing everBoth can organise defense as well as attack,
