Positives of Big Dunc/Rooney

I'm getting bad flashbacks to RM's interviews reading these! As for set pieces, if we replace a 15yr old set piece set up with a no set piece set up it would have to be the most Everton that thing ever
To be fair it feels as if the entity known as Everton Football Club is entering some form of existential crisis.
It’s equally fascinating , exciting and utterly terrifying to witness.

Give big Duncan Ferguson in charge for next three or four games to read the players the riot act in the changing room until new boss is brought in players need to be told few home truths and start performing on the pitch
it worked against Chelsea when we won

He’s been here for 6 managers now mate, do those player seem fearful of Duncan or anyone? I can’t see it.

That Chelsea game, was won because Goodison was rocking, nothing in Duncan, he’s just got a lot more questions than answers about his credentials.

I think rather than Martinez its more likely to be Big Dunc and Rooney or Big Dunc as the main man til the end of season with a review of how he does

I would like to see Rooney or Lampard take the reigns. Both top quality players and would give the youth a chance and I honestly think they would have respect from the older pros because of their standing in the game. We have gone for experience which hasn’t worked and I think this could be a refreshing change.

The timing might be a little early for Rooney to be given the role. Had he got a couple of full seasons experience you'd have a better idea of how good a manager he could become. But from all of our the former players that have gone into coaching he is the one that might really give us a real boost. He loves the game and it would be great if he could lead the club to great things as a manager, which he didn't get the chance to do as a player.

While Lampard showed great potential at Derby, and took a high pressure job at the very top at Chelsea, the fact that he hasn't been in a job since he left Chelsea makes me wonder if he's lost interest in management or would be just using us as a stepping stone to get back to a higher positioned club.
