I really hope you're right. I've never been less optimistic about the funk eventually ending. They just refuse to ever start down the road.I'll be honest, I'm not going to watch the game on Sat (6:30am start here), and I'm generally just bummed out about the entire sport. Not paying attention to other games, not joking around with my friends about Everton, just defeated.
However, I do look forward to getting back into the swing of things and just enjoying the team again. It will happen, just a matter of when. Even if we go down I'll eventually get to the acceptance phase and will have fun watching the team again. If we stay up, even better. Regardless, this funk will go away at some point.
The positive is we're still in the PL. If we started making good choices tomorrow we could still fix it all relatively quickly. I'm not saying we'd be in Europe in a couple years but we easily could be a steady mid-table side for the second half of this decade. It's not over for us.
Ill give you 1 week! ?Alright I'm gonna give it a go.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be good under Dyche, paired with Maupay we will see our goals improve in a 442.
Doucoure - *like a new signing*
Defence - The Kegger man will cometh and be a rock at the back as he thrives in a low block.
Coleman scores against Arsenal for a 1 nil victory and we're all arguing whether or not we should jib off the protests to get behind the team for the rest of the season.
Yeah when I say start making good decisions Sean Dyche is almost certainly not a part of it. I'd need to see serious changes in his approach to think longer term he's worth keeping around whether we go down or not.I think we still have a more than decent chance of staying up. We've just less than half a season to go, no cup trophies to distract us, relatively few injuries at the moment, a new manager bounce to help us, and that we signed nobody in the window should help the new manager build a 'us against the world' mentality within the squad. Nobody expects us to take anything from the Arsenal game, the same way nobody expected us to take anything from the City game either.
Worst case, even if its not to be, Dyche will learn a lot about who has the stomach for the fight to get us back up again, and who needs to be shot out the back door asap. Those that can't face the battle or pressure this season won't be able for it next season either.
