The only positive is its still very much in our hands and until its not il believe we will stay up.

We are literally keeping our head above water week in and week out.

These forced changes like Keane suspended and Coleman not playing (providing Patterson is fit) might be a blessing in disguise.
Throwing kids in the team sounds suicidal in a relegation battle but when you have experienced seasoned pro's playing that have got us into this mess and are making catastrophic mistakes every single week what have we got to lose?

I definitely think there is room for a Patterson Branthwaite and a Onyango or Price in this team, one thing you will get from them is heart and desire to take their chance and stay in the team. It really is a battle for survival now and the tried and failed Pro's will let us down whereas 2-3 youngsters might just might bring some much needed spark and energy to the team.

BTW these youngsters may be well off the standard required but so are the seasoned pro's

Roll the dice Frank..

The players showed some character today. Maybe they can turn that into a vital result.
Next time will be the first.
Its not cast in stone yet because there's still a lot of footy to be played and anything can and probably will happen, but I'm resigned to the fact that we May go down...staying up will be a bonus.
That's about as positive as I can do right now.

Positives for me…
  1. Despite having our team line up, formation and game plan ruined before we had even kicked a ball, they played as though they stayed on the front foot for most of the game.
  2. Despite twice going behind, we didn't perform our now customary away collapse!
  3. Despite going down to ten men, we didn't collapse!
  4. Despite being the cause of one of their goals, Iwobi played three absolute killer through balls that would have led to at least one extra goal had our luck been with us.
  5. Ben Godfrey looked more like the player he can be.
  6. Yes we got beat, but we were unlucky we got beat, and that was against a team fighting for Champions league football on two fronts, who played their strongest side.
I did see improvement, what hasn't improved is our luck, but they are still trying and while they are still trying I believe our luck will change. It only has to change once or twice to give us the points we need, so I see that as a positive.
after that performance, I believe we will beat Burnley.

Excellent positivity effort!

Couldn't agree more and to be honest if people don't see the improvement in that performance despite the result then they're never going to, and would probably say we were crap if we'd won 5-0. For these next ten games we've all got to get behind the team no matter what even if we are crap cos i really don't want to be going to preston for a midweek six pointer in the middle of November.

If we play the way we did today on Wednesday we'll win that game against Burnley.
I think Burnley will be a different test all together. They will see this as the biggest game of the decade for them. They will have more fight than what a west ham with a big European game on the horizon will. They will see us for the soft shides we are and step their fight up even more so. Smelling blood.

I think it's going to be much much harder than the wham game.

The lucks not there and the rest is small margins. An example being Holgates response to Iwobi's mistake. He's level with play, throws his arms up like FFS Wobs, then he's only just trotting into the top of the box when they score.

I thought there was a big improvement yesterday all your points summed it up well. It's clear confidence is low and lots of them don't want the ball but we can get out of this if Frank can flick the switch where in this situation Holgate (or whoever) would focus on getting after the ball rather than waste 5 seconds moaning at whoever made the mistake.

You might be right...but they are a vastly inferior team to West Ham.
