Got a move to inter but struggled and didnt get a chance on loan at benfica because of injury.
Back on loan at santos now but it expires in january, banging them in for santos.
Maybe a loan with an option to buy?

People may say why go for someone who couldnt cut it elsewere, just look at paco at dortmund and adrian silva at sevilla who struggled at parent clubs. Its about fitting in at the right team.

But if we are doing it properly and not just adding without it being a genuine improvement, if we have to wait till the summer, we wait till the summer

I'd be a bit suspicious of Batshuayi, as there surely has to be a reason that a) Chelsea just want rid of him every year and b) teams don't go back for him.

He did great for us when he arrived season, one of the few bright points in the 2nd half of our season. But this summer, Dortmund where looking for a striker ALL summer, it became a bit of a running joke really, how long it was taking, but apparently the club had no interest in going back for Batshuayi despite him being available, and then we got Alcacer, so all good.

But I just wonder if there is something off field with him - i.e. that he doesn't fit in well at clubs, isn't well liked, isn't a good pro or something?

Maybe I'm looking to much into it, but it makes you wonder. he's a good striker though, strong, quick and skilled.

..very good point. Chelsea are hardly full of striking talent and yet they keep releasing him. As you say, it makes you wonder.

..the thing is, this thread only discusses well-known players who are in the spotlight and costs lots of money. There will be gems out there who won’t cost ‘ridiculous money’, the hard part is identifying them.
